How much is a chakra-puncture session?
A chakra-puncture session costs $60. The concession price is $50.
Does it hurt?
The needles used in chakra-puncture are so fine and soft that they cannot be inserted without a protective sheath and only penetrate the skin to a depth of 0.2 - 0.4mm. The needles generally lie flat against the skin and are rarely even felt, although there may be times when certain points feel more sensitive than others due to a build up of energy that is ready to be cleared.
How does chakra-puncture work?
Our body is made up of 45,000 energy cells called Nadis. These Nadis are perfect replicas of our inner spark — our true essence with no interference. When we get hurt, react to the world around us or take on other people's issues, we cover up or cap some of these Nadis with an energy that is not our own. This can play out in our bodies as physical and/or mental health problems. Chakra-puncture can support us to clear what is not true to us, thus bringing our body back to a state of settlement and true vitality.
What can I expect from a session?
A chakra-puncture session begins with a conversation with your practitioner where you discuss your reason for booking the session, and nominate anything you would like to work on. You then get on a massage table wearing shorts and a singlet, and your practitioner inserts the needles in a pattern that will best support you with your presenting issue or ailment. You will then be covered with warm towels and eye pillows and left alone for about 20 minutes. During this time, clients usually report feeling deeply relaxed and sometimes falling asleep. Finally, your practitioner will come back into the room and remove the needles. Afterwards, clients often describe feeling well-rested, settled and rejuvenated, as well as a feeling of being 'in their bodies' rather than in their heads.
After their initial session, many people choose to go on a Chakra-puncture Program. A Chakra-puncture Program is a series of sessions specifically focussed on an individual's area of need. This may be an old behaviour you would like to change, an emotional pattern that is no longer serving, or a physical pain or area of discomfort. You will discuss this with your practitioner prior to the program starting, and together you will identify the Program's theme.
Is chakra-puncture the same as acupuncture?
Although they are both needling techniques, chakra-puncture is not related to acupuncture, dry needling or any other type of needling modality. Chakra-puncture does not use any traditional acupuncture points, nor does it subscribe to any of the acupuncture philosophies or teachings.
